Talk about City and football / Re: Stamford Bridge Away

Well I didn't expect that. City were brilliant. "Oh ye of little faith" I say to myself. Where have we been all season?. Sergio with a hat trick and back in contention for the Golden boot, but what a difference Kevin makes to this side and Nasri was a bonus. The defence seem to have come good too
A certain team from a nearby city (Salford) must be gutted that they didn't close the gap on us after slaughtering the bottom of the league side at home one-nil  ;D ;D ;D

A tough one against the improved Chelsea side and we need some kind of result to keep the Reds at bay. City continue to excel in the Champions league but struggle when it comes to EPL. We have to hope that KDB will show the chavs what they have been missing
I'll take a draw for this one and hope we do better
Chelsea 1 - 1 City  ::)

What if we draw Peps team? they are favourites to win. I think our best chance is with Atletico Madrid but their on fire after beating Barcelona.
It's so tough at the top isn't it  ;D

Great City night. So many solid performances from the players. I get the feeling they really want this trophy.
Barca out now too...so who knows?

sensational!
the atmosphere was nice and loud
at times making hearing the commentary difficult

defense was superb and we had only
36% possesion, i believe
each performance was great

180 minutes from the final

What a cracking atmosphere at City tonight. Eastlands was packed, the fans were fantastic and really up for it as were the City team. There were no fall guys this time and every player put in a shift for once. Although Kun missed an early penalty chance to make the game a lot easier for the home side, Joe saved the only two real chances PSG had with set pieces from Zlatan Ibrahimovic
A 0-0 draw would have been enough but KDB put the icing on the cake with a beautiful goal. A famous win taking us into the uncharted waters of the Champions League Semi-finals
I don't usually get too exited about the CL but with the Premier title out of our reach I'm begining to believe we could actually go all the way. "I love Paris in the springtime" (Wake up Ken and eat your cornflakes)

If you believe the hype, this is the highest ranking game City has ever played and it's not going to be an easy one. PSG were hurt on their own patch and they will be looking for retribution
It will be a full house at Eastlends on a cold April Tuesday night so I hope the crowd warms us up with their support and booing EUFA's anthem
I'll take 1-1 draw to go through ::)

Bye the way, have I seen post's still happenng on the old ManCityBlues site?

massive, massive match for us
a victory to cast out net in unchartered territories,
at least in the modern sense.

silva will be return after beung rested,
however, vinny is out

another shootout?
whiever scores the most wins
(a 3-3 draw would sink us)

Pellegrini was asked if that might set the wrong tone for such a big occasion for the team but he did not seem concerned.

He said: “It depends if you are superstitious or not. If you are superstitious – we continue winning when they boo the anthem!”

nasris return was fantastic,
too bad hes not available for tomorrow,
however, should be well rested against the chavs

yaya made an impact along with kev
after coming on,
could be our system to achieve a fourth place
for champions league next season

(of course, winning it all would count too)
