So City make it to 4th place in the Premier league, which means that they enter the qualifying stage to be in next seasons Champions League, if they in fact do qualify
After a good start scoring the first goal through Kelechi, Swansea equalised in added time just before the break via a clever free kick which deflected off a City player leaving Joe stranded
The second half was a goalless nailbiter throughout as the Swans kept the Blues out whilst always threatening to score themselves. So United now, due to their game being cancelled, have to play out their Premier League season knowing that even a win will leave them short on goal difference

Bye,bye Manuel Pellegrini - Hello Pep Guadiola

Swansea City
Nordfeldt, Rangel, Fernandez, Amat, Kingsley, Britton (capt), Cork, Fer, Routledge, Montero, Ayew

Bench: Vickers, Naughton, Fulton, Gorre, Barrow, Emnes. Gomis

Manchester City
Hart (capt), Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy, Fernando, Fernandinho, Navas, De Bruyne, Iheanacho, Aguero

Bench: Caballero, Sterling, Kolarov, Demichelis, Nasri, Toure, Bony

This is the same team that although could only draw against the Arsenal at Eastlands last Sunday, played very well. I hope Bony stays on the bench except for a token late chance to be greeted by the fans of his old club when City have secured the required fourth place  ::)

Swans 1 - City 3

We were handed a get out of jail card by West Ham and need to do the business at Swansea.

Pessimism and disillusionment with LvG at OT is worse than here and in such a topsy turvy season I can see us losing and the rags drawing with City qualifying for CL  ;D

I can hardly believe that, thanks to the 'Hammers' win against the Red's, the top four Premier League place is back in City's own hands. Just a draw at Swansea will see us through on goal difference even if United beat Bournmouth at the swamp on Sunday, which they probably will
The Swans have only won eight of their home games this season, drawing five and losing five, but they did give West Ham a 4-1 hammering away last weekend so there is the warning for City to heed
Surely they can't mess this one up  ::)

Pics and comments on the Arsenal game are now online at

Sorry if you have already seen this but I put it on the old site. If you wonder about the ibbax put it down to old age and a dicky keyboard!

Our high expectations have made this a poor season by the standards City fans aspire to and I have to admit this comment includes myself. I left Eastlands at the end of the game not staying for the traditional lap of honour or for Pellegrini's farwell speach.
I felt more dissapointed travelling home on Sunday than I have all season. This is because the score left City out of control of their own destiny in acheiving a top four position after having been there throughout. Now we have to rely on others to do the job for us and I am not at all confident this will happen
Worst senario is that the Reds will win the FA Cup and beat us to forth place >:(
